A PROGRAMME TO air on TV3 tonight will draw attention to gun crime in Ireland with a man described as a prominent drug dealer alleging that guns can be got faster than a pizza delivery.
A TV3 News Special entitled Irelands Gun Crime Crisis will feature allegations that drug dealers who rat on their colleagues to Gardaí are subject of a price being put on their head ranging from between 15,000 to 30,000.
The programme, by the stations southern correspondent Paul Byrne, features an interview with a man described as a prominent drug dealer from the Munster area who says he is disgusted by the recent shooting of teenager Melanie McCarthy McNamara.
He also claims that in Ireland it is possible to get a gun faster than a pizza delivery.
